IRE Family Update 9/17/21
Principal's Message
Hello Indian Run Families,
We had a great week filled with lots of fun and learning. We had fun celebrating Dot Day and Constitution Day this week. Sometimes, when we ask our own kids, how was school? We don't get a super detailed response. As a conversation starter, ask your son/daughter what today's "Would You Rather?" was :) This is something fun we have on display near the main IRE entrance as a fun conversation starter as students walk to class in the morning. The goal is to do something fun and get talking with other students they may not normally chat with (win-win).
This Wednesday we will have Field Day outside. Please be sure your son/daughter wears tennis shoes/sneakers as they will be moving and having lots of fun! If you'd like to pack a water bottle, that is great but we will also have water stations with disposable cups available for all students.
Have a great weekend!
Amber and Marty

Syntero: Free 1 Day Workshop for Students
With the school year underway, we are aware of continued adjustments and challenges students are experiencing. Syntero is offering a one-day prevention workshop aimed at teaching students healthy and developmentally appropriate coping skills for managing stress and navigating expectations, and promoting resilience & emotion regulation.
Please sign your student up for the age-appropriate option. If the option you are looking for is not listed, the workshop is full.
Syntero Wellness Workshops will be held on Friday October 15, as the majority of students in the Central Ohio area are not scheduled to have school that day.

COVID-19 Data
The latest COVID-19 data for Dublin City Schools is posted at this link.
Social-Emotional Learning and Dublin City Schools
Student well-being is one of the District’s top priorities.
In the coming weeks (Sept. 27-Oct. 6), we plan to administer a social-emotional learning (SEL) questionnaire to students in grades 3-12. SEL describes the mindsets, attitudes, and feelings that help students succeed in school, career and life, such as growth mindset, self-efficacy and sense of belonging. These results will help us better understand ways we can support students' social and emotional needs. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s principal.
We want your feedback!
Please share your thoughts and ideas with us using our new tool called ThoughtExchange. If you already provided us with thoughts, you can return to rate the thoughts of others! Click here to participate.
Flu shots available
Again this school year, Dublin City Schools is providing students in grades K-12 with the opportunity to receive flu shots at their school. You can find the schedule and the permission form here. Please fill out sections two through 10 on the form and the insurance information on the reverse side, and return it to your school clinic by Sept. 22.
