Hello Indian Run Families,

It is great to have our third week of school under our belt. If your house is anything like ours, your kiddos are still adjusting to the school routine but are enjoying being back at school with their peers.

The students and staff at IRE have been working hard to acclimate back to school and are starting to click on all cylinders. As we continue to engage with your children, we are doing our best to support students and provide them the tools and resources they need to be successful in all aspects. If there is anything we can do to better support your child, please reach out.

Picture Day is Tuesday, September 7th. Picture forms should have made their way home on either Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Families can order and pay via 2 methods

Method 1: Using the hard copy picture form. Be sure to bring the picture form and payment to school on September 7th.

Method 2: Order and pay online by following the directions below:

• Step 1: Go to shop.hrimaging.com
• Step 2: Type in "Indian Run" then select Indian Run Elementary and click "submit"
• Step 3: Click "order pictures"
• Step 4: From there you can select the two events happening on 9/7/2021: "School Portraits" and "Mini-panoramic" and complete your order.

Many of our students have completed the Reading MAP test and are beginning to take the Math MAP test. Parents will receive results through a district email at the beginning of October.

The PTO spirit wear sale has been extended and will be open through Tuesday September 7th. Show your IRE school spirit this year and shop our spirit wear sale! We've brought back our best sellers and some new items. Be sure to check them out!

 

Spirit Wear Sale

We have begun a T Shirt Tuesday theme amongst our staff where we wear Indian Run shirts and colors to show our school spirit and togetherness every Tuesday. We are an IRE family!

Feel free to have your children join in on the fun.

We thought some of our families may not have IRE shirts so this is where we need your help. If your children have outgrown any IRE shirts and you'd like to donate them, here is how you can help.

Please wash the shirts, place them in a grocery bag of some sort and send them in. Feel free to spread the word to any neighbors/friends who may have children out of IRE and on to middle and high School. We don't want anyone to feel left out and thought this could be a way to help!

• September 22 - Field Day - - Grades K-2 (9:20-10:50am) - - Grades 3-5 (11:00am-12:30pm)

Oct. 13 PSAT administration

On Oct. 13, high school juniors will take the PSAT test. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will not attend class that day but their building principals will inform students/parents of the learning opportunities available to them.
