Last week, the Jerome chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed in events/competitions at the annual State Leadership Conference (SLC). This was a culmination of tests and projects the students began working on by themselves. In the competition, they compete against other FBLA chapters from around Ohio. There are also live events that they can sign up for and compete at during the conference. Our Chapter came to the conference with 9 strong, (8 strong business ladies, 1 businessman); the second smallest group there. There were about 500 students attending the conference and the Jerome chapter wiped out the competition! We had 7 State Champions in their respective events and we will send 7 students to Nationals in the summer in Atlanta.

Sophia Kim, Ryan Rust, Ridam Shah, and Samiya Salman all placed high in their events as well.
