Over 50 DJHS Graphic Design students collaborated on a 6 foot tall work of art inspired by the artist, Chuck Close, and Jerome's own Mr. Aurin! Chuck Close is known for his innovative conceptual portraiture, depicting his subjects, which are transposed from photographs into visual data organized by gridded compositions. Students located the correct colors by sifting through buckets of discontinued paint chips that were going to be discarded at a local hardware store. The finished piece was displayed in the Commons at Dublin Jerome High School when it was published in Dec. 2022.
