Recently, Mr. Marion Chard helped kick off a fundraiser to benefit Honor Flight. Mr. Chard served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Washington in the Pacific Ocean and was honorably discharged at the end of the war. Mr. Chard recently celebrated his 101st birthday. During his visit he talked with our students about his experiences during the war, the ship's dog (Zero) and his experience participating in Honor Flight.
