The Fall athletic season has come to a close and it was a tremendous success!  Over (220) Sells students represented our school on the Cross Country course, Football field, Golf course, Tennis court, Volleyball court, and the sidelines cheering this Fall, and we are proud of them all. 40% of the eligible 7th and 8th Grade student population participated in Fall Sports! This is an impressive amount of our student body benefiting from the life lessons being taught through sport here at Sells.

There were many accomplishments that highlighted our Fall sports season.

Our volleyball program continued it’s perennial success this Fall. The 7th Grade team capped a 14-3 season by winning the championship of the Brookpark Invitational Tournament. Meanwhile, the 8th Grade team earned 7 solid victories. Congratulations to all of our volleyball players for a great season!

The Cross Country team had a great season as well. The boys team went 5-1 in dual meets, while winning the championship of the Midwest Meet of Champions! In addition, the boys took 3rd out of 24 teams in their season ending meet at the Eisenhart Invitational. The girls team also had a successful season. The team went 3-3 in dual meets, and showed strong effort in improving personal bests throughout the season! Great season to all cross country athletes!

Our Football program continued it tradition of excellence this Fall. The 8th Grade Football team represented us well on the gridiron, earning a 6-2 record. Meanwhile, the 7th Grade teams went a solid 4-4. Congratulations to our boys for a fantastic season.

The Girls Tennis program had a great season as well. The girls achieved a team record of 7-5. In invitational play, they took 2nd in the Dublin Middle School invitational. On a special note, 7th grader Pritika won the singles championship of the Dublin Invitational Awesome season, ladies!

The Boys Golf team enjoyed tremendous success this Fall. They earned a 9-9 record and finished 2nd in the Dublin Cup final! Congratulations for a great season, boys!

The Girls Golf team continued their perennial success this Fall. The team finished the season unbeaten! Great season, ladies!

Last, but certainly not least, the Cheerleading squad worked hard this Fall, performing well on the sidelines during football games. Great job ladies, and thank you for your positive support!

Beyond the on-field success and accolades, the Sells MS Athletic program earned similar success off the field. Weekly, academic and behavioral performance was monitored by the coaching staff, yielding incredibly positive results.

The mission of Sells Middle School athletics is to provide a safe, fair, and inclusive athletic environment.  The athletic experience is designed to bolster the educational experience at Sells Middle School offering fundamental skill instruction, life skill instruction, character education, and interscholastic competition.

We are looking forward to an equally as successful Winter sports season with increased student participation, and continuation of academic and athletic excellence from our student-athletes.
