The Fall athletic season has come to a close and it was a tremendous success!  Over (250) Sells students represented our school on the Cross Country course, Football field, Golf course, Tennis court, Volleyball court, and the sidelines cheering this Fall, and we are proud of them all. 40% of the eligible 7th and 8th Grade student population participated in Fall Sports! This is an impressive amount of our student body benefiting from the life lessons being taught through sport here at Sells.

There were many accomplishments that highlighted our Fall sports season.

Our Golf program had a tremendously memorable season. Our Boys team finished with a 14-1 record, capped by a 1st-place finish at the Central Ohio Golf Championships! Our Girls Black team earned a 13-9 regular season record and took 1st-Place at the Central Ohio Championships as well! Our Girls Gold team finished their season with a 19-2-1 record with a runner-up finish at the tournament. Congratulations to all golfers for a great season on the links!

The Cross Country team continued its perennial success this Fall. The boys team finished with a perfect 9-0 record in dual meets. Invitational championships were earned at the Jerome Preview, McGowan Invitational, Dublin Quad, and Midwest Meet of Champions. The boys were also runner-up at the Les Eisenhart Invitational. The Girls team had a great season as well. They earned 3 victories in duals and steadily improved their times over the course of the season. We are proud of all of our Cross Country runners!

Our Football program continued it tradition of excellence this Fall. The 8th Grade Football team represented us well on the gridiron, earning a 4-3-1 record. Meanwhile, the 7th Grade teams went a solid 5-3. Congratulations to our boys for a great season.

Our Volleyball program had a great season. The 8th Grade team finished their season with a 9-9 record, and a strong showing Dublin Invitational at the end of the season. Meanwhile, the 7th Grade team worked hard, improved, and represented our school well the entire season. Congratulations to all of our volleyball players for a great season!

The Girls Tennis program had a great season as well. The girls achieved a team record of 7-7. Awesome season, ladies!

Last, but certainly not least, the Cheerleading squad worked hard this Fall, performing well on the sidelines during football games. Great job ladies, and thank you for your positive support!

Beyond the on-field success and accolades, the Sells MS Athletic program earned similar success off the field. Weekly, academic and behavioral performance was monitored by the coaching staff, yielding incredibly positive results.

The mission of Sells Middle School athletics is to provide a safe, fair, and inclusive athletic environment.  The athletic experience is designed to bolster the educational experience at Sells Middle School offering fundamental skill instruction, life skill instruction, character education, and interscholastic competition.

We are looking forward to an equally successful Winter sports season with increased student participation, and continuation of academic and athletic excellence from our student-athletes.
