    ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S CORNER

The Winter athletic season has come to a close and it was a tremendous success!  Over (100) Sells students represented their school on the basketball court, wrestling mat, and on the sidelines cheering this Winter, and we are proud of each of them.

Highlights from the Winter sports season include the efforts of our wrestling team. They had a 13-2 dual meet record, and won championships at the Dublin Shamrock Invitational and Highland Invitational. In addition, the team earned runner-up at the Mean Green Davis Duals and 4th place at the Triad Invitational. We are proud of our wrestlers and the accomplishments they had on the mat!

Our boys basketball program also had a great season as well. The 7th Grade Boys Basketball team went 14-5, and capped their season with an Upper Consolation Championship at the Dublin Invitational. The 8th Grade team played hard the entire season, winning 6 games. Great season boys!

The girls basketball program continued their winning ways as both teams had successful seasons. The 7th Grade Girls Basketball team went 14-5, and finished their season earning a 4th place finish in the Hilliard Heritage Invitational. The 8th Grade team showed huge improvement over the course of the season, winning 7 games. We are proud of our girls basketball players. Great season, ladies!

Last, but not least, the Cheerleading squad worked hard this Winter on the sidelines during basketball games. Great job ladies, and thank you for your positive support!

The mission of Sells Middle School athletics is to provide a safe, fair, and inclusive athletic environment.  The athletic experience is designed to bolster the educational experience at Sells Middle School offering fundamental skill instruction, life skill instruction, character education, and interscholastic competition.

We are looking forward to an equally successful Spring sports season with increased student participation, and continuation of academic and athletic excellence from our student-athletes.
