Yes. Providing boundaries that offer longevity is of the utmost importance. Along with forecasting enrollment from specific housing developments, our partners at Wolpert have developed enrollment projections that allow us to view enrollment trends geographically.

Cropper GIS will propose updated high school attendance boundaries in the fall of 2025. The community will be invited to hear about the proposed boundaries and be asked to share feedback at the events. Dates and times will be posted this summer.

Our goal is to have new high school attendance zone boundaries formally published by November 2025.

New high school boundaries will be effective at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.

Yes, students who will be sophomores (Class of 2029), juniors (Class of 2028), or seniors (Class of 2027) in the 2026-2027 school year will have the option to remain at their current high school. They can either:

1. Stay at the high school they attended in 2025-2026, or
2. Move to the high school assigned to their residence under the new boundaries for 2026-2027.

However, this option does not extend to siblings. Younger siblings (Class of 2030 or later) will attend the high school assigned to their residence based on the new boundaries, which will be finalized and published in November 2025.

If students elect to remain at their current high school, the student or family will be responsible for their transportation to and from school.

Yes, seniors (Class of 2027) in the 2026-2027 school year will have the option to remain at their current high school. If students elect to remain at their current high school, the student or family will be responsible for their transportation to and from school.

Yes. Students with disabilities will attend school in the attendance area outlined in the redistricting plan. Resources will be provided to meet the requirements of each student’s Individualized Education Plan.

No. All students will attend school in the attendance area outlined in the redistricting plan. Intradistrict transfer policy only allows for transfer applications for schools with capacity, and due to current and projected enrollment numbers, all schools will be at or above capacity.

Change can be challenging, and Dublin City Schools is committed to supporting students as they transition to a new high school. We will provide comprehensive transition support, including welcoming events to help students and parents connect with their new school community. These may include group events to assist with social transitions, as well as individual meetings for families needing additional support with academic or social concerns.

Each high school has a team of experienced school counselors dedicated to students' emotional well-being. Our schools have established procedures for welcoming new students, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for every family.

At this time, we do not have an exact number, as enrollment will depend on how many students choose to remain at their previously assigned high school versus those who transition to their newly assigned school. However, the goal of this redistricting process is to create three balanced high schools, each with approximately 2,000 students by 2030.

All schools will be staffed to address changing enrollment numbers. The Human Resources Department will re-assign teachers as needed.

Yes. While each of our three high schools has its own unique culture, demographics, and traditions, students across Dublin City Schools have access to the same academic programs and opportunities. Our curriculum, course offerings, and graduation requirements remain consistent across all high schools, ensuring that every student has access to Advanced Placement (AP) courses, International Baccalaureate (IB), College Credit Plus (CCP), career-technical programs, and a wide range of electives—no matter which high school they attend. Additionally, resources are allocated equitably based on student needs. This includes English Learner (EL) support, special education services, and staffing, ensuring that all students receive the support necessary for their success.

No. If you currently reside within the Dublin City School District, you will remain within the district. School district boundaries are established by the State of Ohio and are not easily changed.

While the Board of Education does not approve redistricting maps—this responsibility is delegated to the Superintendent—the district is committed to gathering and considering community feedback throughout the process.

Cropper GIS will host two public input sessions and distribute a survey where families can learn more about the redistricting process and provide feedback. The survey will be the most effective way to share your thoughts, as all responses are carefully reviewed and analyzed to help inform decision-making.
