Split feeder patterns are a necessary part of managing enrollment in a growing district like Dublin City Schools. Differences in neighborhood size, population density, and building capacities require some elementary schools to feed into multiple middle schools. Currently, four elementary schools and three middle schools in the district follow split feeder patterns.
While split feeder patterns can initially feel challenging, they offer significant benefits. Students who experience them often build relationships with a broader group of peers earlier, which helps them develop cross-district friendships and ease the transition to high school. These patterns also encourage exposure to diverse perspectives, ideas, and opportunities, enriching students’ overall learning experiences.
