Summer job fair for students is April 6 at Dublin Jerome
Dublin City Schools students seeking summer jobs will have an opportunity this spring to meet prospective seasonal employers and practice job interviewing skills that they will need in the future. No registration is required for this free event.

On Saturday April 6, from 9 a.m.-noon in the Jerome gymnasium, Dublin City Schools and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will be collaborating to present: Dublin Works! A Summer Job Fair for Dublin City Schools Students. Several hundred students attend the event each year as do more than 40 of our local businesses.

Businesses wishing to participate in the event may RSVP at this link: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?505686-DGgjhiUQaK or by contacting Carol Jacobsen at 614-760-4379.

“This event provides our students with real world experiences like interviewing and networking, while also providing them with a chance to obtain seasonal employment in our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “The summer job fair is a great example of the District’s partnership with the Chamber and with our business community.”

Many participating companies take applications and follow up with students at a later date, while some hold interviews at the event. Student work permit paperwork for those under 18 will be available at the job fair or in the high school guidance offices.

The event is free and open to all students of working age.

Participating companies at past events have included: The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Zoombezi Bay, Safari Golf Course, Giant Eagle, Wendy’s, SportsOhio, Tim Hortons, Scioto Reserve Country Club, WalMart, LaRosa’s Pizzeria, Muirfins Swim Club, Dewey’s Pizza, Friendship Village of Dublin, GFS Marketplace, McAlisters Deli, Bob Evans, Bruegger’s Bagels, Panera Bread, Sunny Street Cafe, McDonalds, Firehouse Subs, and more.
