GMS NEWS - April 18, 2019

Tonight is family night and it looks like it will be a great night to spend enjoying our current springtime weather.  Have fun playing a game, taking a walk, or just chillin’ with your family!

Congratulations to students for completing this year’s Ohio State Testing.  It was a grueling 2 weeks and I know our students did their best- with a smile on their faces.  They are amazing!

As a reminder, we are not in session tomorrow. Savor the day off and have a wonderful long weekend.

Looking for something fun to do tonight for Family Night?

Dublin Teen Institute and Dublin ACT Council would like to invite you to our second annual Harmony Music Festival on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Coffman Pavilion. This event is open to the whole city with free admission. Through this event, we hope to show that one can have fun while living a substance-free life. A great opportunity for families to hang out and spend time with each other. There will be many musical performances, food trucks, face painting, magic booth, games and more! Great Food Trucks will be available this year including Legacy Smokehouse!

Be on the lookout for the Supply Sale coming later this month for 2019-2020 school year.  All sales will be made through our vendor’s website, so it will be easy to order.

As a reminder, all potential fall sports athletes must attend tryouts/practices for their respective sport in the Fall prior to the start of the season.  This always occurs prior to the start of the school year and this year Fall sports practices/tryouts begin on August 1st. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly so that your child can take advantage of the athletic opportunities offered at GMS!  We don’t want anyone to miss the chance to be part of our teams and to represent Grizzell Middle School. GO CELTS!

Many athletic programs host sports camps for younger athletes as a way of fundraising and all teaching their future athletes. As the feeder school for Jerome High School, we like to support those programs/teams by sharing information with GMS families.  Please consider supporting the Jerome Celtics camps when choosing athletic camps for your child. A few of them are listed below:

Jerome Football Camp

Jerome Girls Basketball Camp

Jerome Girls Soccer Camp

Jerome Cross Country Youth Camp

If you are looking for other camps or the Jerome camp dates don’t work for you, please consider camps being offered by other programs within the district.  They are listed on the district website under
