Board organizes for 2019

During its annual organizational meeting on Jan.14, Scott Melody was unanimously re-elected Board President and Lynn May was unanimously elected Vice President for 2019.

At the first meeting each January, the Board elects officers, a calendar of meeting is established, committees are assigned and meeting procedures are adopted.

Mr Melody was first elected in 2007 and Mrs. May was first elected in 2005  Stu Harris, Chris Valentine, and Rick Weininger are the other members of the Board.

The Board uses an online platform that will be used to post agendas, minutes, meeting dates and more. Community members are able to follow meetings on their computers and devices at this link:

The public is also be able to view the documents associated with each meeting.

The Board will maintain the same meeting schedule in 2019, meeting on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7 p.m with some exceptions. Please check the board docs site for meeting locations and dates.

All Board of Education meetings are open to the public. The public may address the Board on any topic during the first meeting of the month and on agenda items only during the second meeting of each month.

Minutes of Board meetings are available on the district’s web site once they are approved by the Board of Education at the following meeting. Board agendas are posted on the district web site as soon as possible before each meeting.
