Mike Aurin to be recommended as next Dublin Jerome Principal

Mike has been the Jonathan Alder High School Principal since 2015. Prior to serving in that role, he was a Dublin Jerome Assistant Principal for three years. He began his career as a Science and Biology teacher at Dublin Scioto, then taught Biology at Dublin Jerome for eight years before becoming an administrator. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from The Ohio State University, a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Miami of Ohio, and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from John Carroll University.

“I would like to thank all of the staff, parents, and students who were involved in the interview process. Their input was highly valued and appreciated,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “Mike possesses a tremendous combination of classroom and administrative experience and we are excited to welcome him back to Dublin City Schools.”

He will be working with Dr. Miller this spring during the transition.

“Dublin Jerome has set a standard of excellence and high expectations since its inception,” Aurin said. “Because of my history with Dublin Jerome, these high standards of excellence are intertwined into my academic philosophy and impacts the way I approach each day as a building principal. Meeting these high standards requires that I have high visibility and accessibility within the building and the community.”
