During its regular meeting on March 16, the Dublin City Schools Board of Education approved Dr. Porsha Robinson-Ervin as the next principal of Deer Run Elementary School and Josh Page as the new principal of Eli Pinney Elementary School, both effective Aug. 1.
Dr. Robinson-Ervin has been a principal in Columbus City Schools since 2017. Prior to serving in that role, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education for three years at Northern Kentucky University. She began her career as a special education teacher in Columbus City Schools where she taught for four years before taking time off to further her education. She then returned to Columbus City Schools where she taught another year before accepting a leadership role as a principal in that district. Dr. Robinson-Ervin has both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Special Education, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education, all from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Robinson-Ervin has received many honors and awards including Ohio School Boards Association Outstanding Teacher Award and was nominated for the Ohio Teacher of the Year Nominee.
Mr. Page comes to Eli Pinney from James Conger Elementary School in Delaware where he served as principal for the last seven years. Prior to that he served as an assistant principal for two years and a 6th grade math and science teacher for four years, all in Delaware. During his time as a teacher, he also served as a teacher technology trainer.
Mr. Page has been recognized as an OAESA Hall of Fame School finalist, was a member of Battelle for Kids Celebrate Teaching 2013 Class of Distinguished Educators and received the Office Max Teacher of the Year “A Day Made Better” award.
Mr. Page received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Youngstown State University where he graduated summa cume laude while also playing Division 1 baseball and serving his team as a three-time captain. He also holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
