PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Tomorrow is 6th Grade Team Building Day!  We are very excited to have the Class of 2025 participate in Outback Team Pursuit challenges, building camaraderie during a kickball tournament and Escape Room activity, and enjoying Kona Ice with friends. Please look for photos on Twitter and our website.

This evening is our first PTO general meeting of the 2018-19 year. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the library.  Dr. Hoadley is our guest speaker and he will share updates regarding the upcoming Issue 5 as well as answer any questions you might have.

Finally, I’d like to ask you to please keep Ms. Murray and her family in your thoughts. Her father recently passed away after an extended illness.  I know that our school community is caring and would want to express your condolences should your paths cross in the near future.

Have a great weekend!

Corinne

PSAT 8/9

On Wednesday, October 10th Grade 8 students will be taking the PSAT 8/9. Testing begins at 8:30am and will conclude by 11:30am. Students who typically begin their day at the high school will not attend their high school class that day but will need to report to GMS that morning. There is no cost for students to take the test and results will be available prior to winter break. Participation provides students an opportunity to become familiar with the test format and also gives us guidance about how we can provide intervention for students who, according to this one standardized assessment, may not be on track for college/career readiness.  Please contact Mrs. Evans at 614-718-8618 if you have questions/concerns.

DISCOUNT CARDS SUPPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS

New this year...the Athletic departments for all four middle schools have worked together with area businesses to offer families a discount card.  Purchase a card for just $15 and get discounts at several area businesses. If you have already purchased a family pass, the discount card is just $10.  This is a great way to support GMS athletics and your child’s team while at the same time getting discounts at establishments you already frequent! Please click on the link for more information.

Dublin MS Athletics Discount Card

If you still need to purchase your family pass, we have attached that form as well.  Family Passes grant access to you and your family at all Dublin Middle School athletic contests and serves as the student activity pass for your child to attend GMS school dances as well.  Just $65 for the entire school year!
