Northwoods Consulting- October 2017

Northwoods Consulting was named the October Business of the Month award winner by the Board of Education and their regular meeting on Oct. 9.

Northwoods has provided internships for our Dublin City Schools IT Academy students in the past and will continue doing so this school year. They allow students to spend three hours a day at the company, two days per week, as part of their internship experience.

“Northwoods provide our students with authentic learning experiences and even allowed me to come in and observe the students on several different occasions,” said Angie Walsh, Dublin Scioto teacher and IT Academy leader.

Giving our students the opportunity to have real world experiences is a big part of the Dublin Difference, which Northwoods definitely exemplifies.

“They have been a great partner to the Dublin IT Academy and have truly helped our students gain confidence in working in a real world environment,” said Walsh.

The partnerships the District has with local businesses is another key component of the Dublin Difference. Our Board of Education honors one of our local business partners at its first meeting of the month during each school year. Businesses receive this designation for their contributions to a school, support group, or the District at large.
