We had a great week in DC, but it is good to be home and back into our school schedule. Students in all three grades worked hard but also had some fun. Tuesday was especially enjoyable seeing so many students in their Halloween costumes.
I’d like to do a special shout out to the guidance counselors and 7th grade teachers for leading a meaningful and inspiring Character Day event. 7th graders participated in team building activities and small group discussions about what it looks like and sounds like to be an empathetic classmate. The highlight for the day was listening to guest speaker, Ty Sells, use humor and stories to encourage students to respect each other and themselves. Thank you to all parents for encouraging these important message at home. We will put our stamp of kindness on the world one person at a time!
Have a wonderful weekend!
