Experience the “Mindset of Magic” at the Dublin Literacy Conference on Feb. 24

The “Mindset of Magic” is the theme of the 29th annual Dublin Literacy Conference set for Feb. 24 at Dublin Coffman High School.

The Dublin Literacy Conference invites educators from around Ohio and surrounding states to spend the day learning from nationally known authors, keynote speakers, and Dublin City Schools staff members. Attendees have the opportunity to network and share literacy ideas with their peers. The conference is a reflection of the District's high prioritization of building a learning community through literacy.

“We are incredibly excited for the Dublin Literacy Conference this year and helping teachers to capture the Magic of Mindset,” said Lit Conference Chair Rachel Polacek. “With keynote speakers George Couros and Linda Sue Park, and featured authors Kate Roberts and Chris Barton, attendees will have many chances for learning innovative ideas to implement in the classroom.”

Like the Dublin Leadership Academy held each summer for staff members, Dublin City Schools’ teaching staff plays a key role in planning the Dublin Literacy Conference. Lit Conference Co-Chair Marisa Saelzler and Press Chair Lauren Scott also play an integral role in the success of the conference.

"The Dublin Literacy Conference is one of my favorite days of the year," said Co-Chair Marisa Saelzler. "It always stretches my thinking and helps me to discover topics that I would like to learn more about. It is amazing to see so many educators coming together to help each other learn and grow professionally. We have a great line up of professional speakers and teacher presenters for this year's Dublin Literacy Conference. It is sure to be an inspiring day of learning for all educators!"

"The Dublin Literacy Conference is a great example of teacher leadership and collaboration,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “I want to thank our hard working professionals who are responsible for its success.”
