GMS NEWS - November 17, 2017

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

I am thrilled to announce that our PTO is ready to begin their fundraising efforts to update and overhaul our classroom furniture. Educators have learned from the field of neuroscience that students learn best in spaces that provide natural opportunities for collaboration and creative problem solving, while also comfortable.  Let’s face it, hard plastic and metal desks certainly aren’t comfortable and probably don’t lend themselves to innovative thinking.

Keep a close eye out for more information about how you can contribute to outfitting GMS classrooms so that our students have the best opportunity to maximize their learning potential.  In order to whet your appetite for more about how you can support this important PTO initiative, I’ll leave you with a tease….it only takes four fives!

Speaking of appetites...Thanksgiving is just around the corner!  Whether you are hunkering down in Central Ohio or heading “over the river and through the woods,” I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Corinne
