Back To School Information for Parents and Students
Dear Scioto Families,
Welcome back! We look forward to this school year to provide students with a quality education. As you know or will soon find out, Scioto is a special place. We are fortunate to have an outstanding staff and student body. We look forward to forming partnerships that foster measurable student growth and outcomes.
I will be meeting individually with each class on the first day of school. If you or your child have any individual concerns, please feel free to contact your guidance counselor or administrator to request an appointment. We want to insure that all students are comfortable and excited to be here.
Following are some details to help in preparation for a successful year:
Required Information Update
You must update your student's information for the new school year online using the Back to School portal, which will be available the week of Aug. 6. This system will allow you to update your contact information and emergency contact information. Parent contact information will also automatically be used for school news and alerts.
The login information has been updated to a Family Group login, using your youngest child's student ID number and date of birth.

*If you need your student's ID number, please email your school at the email address listed to the right.
You must complete your online forms prior to the first day of school on Aug. 15.
Please note: Once logged in, all students will be accessible to update. Please note, you will be required to complete the Back to School forms for each of your student's individually.

Bullying Hotline: For many years, Dublin City Schools has utilized an anonymous hotline where students, staff, parents, and community members can safely and anonymously report any information to District authorities, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Class schedules will be sent electronically to student school email accounts by August 6, 2018.
Student Pictures and IDs
On the first day of school, all students will be photographed for a student ID and school records, regardless of whether a portrait package is purchased. A pre-printed picture day flier has been mailed to your home. Students should bring this envelope on the first day of school, even if they do not wish to order portraits.
Lunch assignments will be provided in your student's schedule.
Free or Reduced Lunch Application
You can apply on-line for your children to receive free or reduced price school meals. Your application will be sent from a secure web site directly to Dublin City Schools, so you don’t need to complete a paper form.
The following link has been designed to help you to know exactly what information is needed and guide you through the process. Once your application has been received, the district office will determine your eligibility and send you a letter with the results. To apply, simply go to http://www.lunchapplication.com/ and click Apply Now.
Student Parking Permits
Parking permits will be sold during lunch periods the first week of school. Please find an application and requirements attached.
