It is hard to believe that another school year has come to an end. Although an exciting time of the year, it is also bittersweet to say goodbye to our seniors and those families who have their youngest graduating. After 13 years, Dublin Jerome High School has truly become a community in and of itself and all of you are part of this in some way. It always brings me joy to bump into former parents and students who take pride in talking about their past experiences and how this place made such a difference.
As summer dawns, please find time to rest and be with your loved ones. If you're a sun lover, please find time to take in the heat, but wear your sunscreen. If you're a book lover, take time to find that cozy spot and read to your heart's desire. If you're a tennis player, hit that court as often as possible. And above all, pester your kids to spend as much time with you as possible. Looking back now, thinking about time spent with my own parents as a teenager makes me smile.
I am so honored to be the principal of this great school and look forward to seeing our kids back here in August.
P.S. Outside of one or two secluded trips that we're taking, I should be on email pretty consistently. If you have anything that needs answered over the break, please feel free and send me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org. I'll make sure it gets into the right hands.
Attention Parents of Junior Students
The clinic needs documentation of TWO meningitis vaccines in order for students to attend school their senior year. Ohio has mandated the MCV4 (also known as the meningitis shot, Menactra, Menomune or Menveo) for the 2017-2018 school year. One of the two doses must be given after the 16th birthday. The first dose is typically given around age 11 or 12. If you haven't already done so, please check your immunization records, if there is no evidence of TWO meningitis vaccines, please call your physician or health department for an appointment and provide the clinic with a copy of your completed shot record ASAP! Questions? Call the clinic at 614-718-8273. Thank you!
Class of 2018 Seniors and Parents
If you wish for your senior’s portrait to be featured in the 2018 The Knot yearbook and the official Dublin Jerome High School class composite, he or she will need to be photographed by Root Studios. Having Root Studios photograph all seniors for the yearbook and class composite ensures a complete representation of the Senior Class. Please note that you are not obligated to purchase your senior portraits from Root Studios – the yearbook session has no fee. Any senior not photographed by Root Studios will not appear in the yearbook or on the class composite. See the attachment for details - DP Dublin Jerome High 2018.pdf
