It is officially one week until the end of the school year. It is so true that time simply flies by.
Whether it be graduation planning, class projects, or checking off that last AP or IB exam, I hope these last few days are enjoyable for our students. Rest is in sight for them!
So I have a corny idea: My dad is well known in our family for sending random positive text messages. They range from "I love you" to "Get your plants in, there is a frost tonight." Regardless, his messages always make my day. Considering the amount of stress that our kids have been under the last few weeks with testing, preparing for concerts, and athletic tournament play, what if you send a random positive text message to your kiddo? If you already do this, keep it up. If you don't, give it a shot. Even if your son or daughter thinks you've lost your marbles, I guarantee it will yield a positive result. As I've mentioned many times, our students are under a great amount of pressure to perform well and as we near the end of another successful school year, this text could be just what the doctor ordered.
Have a great weekend!

Attention Parents of Junior Students
The clinic needs documentation of TWO meningitis vaccines in order for students to attend school their senior year. Ohio has mandated the MCV4 (also known as the meningitis shot, Menactra, Menomune or Menveo) for the 2017-2018 school year. One of the two doses must be given after the 16th birthday. The first dose is typically given around age 11 or 12. If you haven't already done so, please check your immunization records, if there is no evidence of TWO meningitis vaccines, please call your physician or health department for an appointment and provide the clinic with a copy of your completed shot record ASAP! Questions? Call the clinic at 614-718-8273. Thank you!
Lyndsey Rice and Kyle Colello Memorial 5K
Please join the Rice and Colello families for the annual Lyndsey and Kyle 5K on the morning of June 10th. Lyndsey and Kyle were students at Dublin Scioto when they died tragically in a car accident in 2009. Lyndsey's older brothers, Jeff and Jason, both teach at Jerome. Proceeds from the event go to the scholarship funds of Lyndsey and Kyle. You may register for the 5K using the link below.
Class of 2018 Seniors and Parents
If you wish for your senior’s portrait to be featured in the 2018 The Knot yearbook and the official Dublin Jerome High School class composite, he or she will need to be photographed by Root Studios. Having Root Studios photograph all seniors for the yearbook and class composite ensures a complete representation of the Senior Class. Please note that you are not obligated to purchase your senior portraits from Root Studios – the yearbook session has no fee. Any senior not photographed by Root Studios will not appear in the yearbook or on the class composite. See the attachment for details - DP Dublin Jerome High 2018.pdf
