CAP - CAP Applications for incoming Juniors and Seniors will be available starting on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the guidance office and on the CAP Board in lower C wing and will be due the same day their schedules are due.

EMERALD CAMPUS - If you are interested in learning more about the academies at Emerald Campus, you have the option to sign-up to attend Academy Info Day on Tuesday, January 23rd during either 2nd or 3rd period in the Commons. There will be students available to talk with you about their experiences who are currently in the academies. Mrs. Venne, the director of Emerald Campus, will also be there to answer any general questions you may have about applying, transportation, etc.

WRESTLING - The Jerome wrestling team turned in their best performance of the season by placing 5th overall out of 17 teams at the North Union Tournament on Saturday. The team had 11 individual placers that placed 6th or higher. Top placers for the Celts were Lane Williams and Zach McMinn who both placed 3rd. Jack Viola and Nicholas Henkel were both 4th. Support the team as they take on Hilliard Bradley at home this Thursday at 7 pm.


ACADEMY DAY - We will be hosting an Academy Info Day at Jerome High School on Tuesday, January 23rd during 2nd and 3rd period.
During Academy Info Day, students from the current academies will be available to talk to interested students about their academy experience and to answer their questions. The goal is to help 9th-11th grade students decide if they would like to apply to join an academy. If so, they will be able to apply via the Academy Common Application which is due on Wednesday, January 31st.

If interested in attending Academy Info Day, please see Mrs. Vaccari in the Guidance Department.

SENIORS - Attention Seniors: If you have not had your senior photo taken for the yearbook by HR Imaging, a photographer will be here Friday, January 26, during all three lunches. This is the LAST and FINAL date for any senior to have his/ her photo taken. This photo is free. Any questions, please see Mrs. McJunkin in C108.

WRESTLING - The Dublin Jerome Wrestling team took to the mat last night in a match at home against London High School and came out with the win 36-25. Top performers for the Celts included pins by Lane Williams and John Huber and wins by Joe Huber and Stephen Lenker.

INTERACT CLUB - Interact club will be having a meeting Wednesday, January 17 after school in the library where we will be making tie blankets for Nationwide Children’s hospital! New members are welcomed! Bring your friends and $10 club dues if you haven’t paid them yet!

FENCING - Fencing is starting up again - come check it out - January 10th - and it’s not too late for new students to join the Dublin Fencing Club. We meet every Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 at Columbus Fencing & Fitness on Tuller Rd.

SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB - Anyone interested in joining Sign Language Club? We meet on Wednesdays at 2:45 in Room B217. Our first meeting of the semester will be on Wednesday, January 10. Everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience with sign language. Hope to see you there!

SOPHOMORE CABINET - Sophomore Cabinet will meet this Thursday, January 11th, in C104, at 7:30 a.m. All members must attend this meeting.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS - Congratulations to the girls gymnastics team on their 2nd place finish at the Worthington Kilbourne Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Grace Krouse took first on vault and third in the all-around. The Celts next competition is this Thursday at 6:30 against Worthington Kilbourne!

We will have Mariana Erana Salmeron here this Friday, January 5th to talk about her first semester at William & Mary and James Kuchler on Monday, January 8th to talk about his college experience at Southern Methodist University. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear all about college life during all lunch periods on both days. Any questions, please see Mrs. Vaccari in Guidance.

SKI CLUB - If you still would like to join Ski Club for some great winter skiing or snowboarding, there is still room on the ski bus to Mad River on Tuesdays starting next Tuesday, January 9. See Mrs. Murphy in the Library to pick up ski forms to join.
