Postsecondary Education

Our LIFE, PREP and POWER Plus Programs achieve postsecondary success through the partnership between students, families, program staff, agencies and our Dublin Community. We provide targeted transitional experiences and curriculum that assist students in planning for future employment, education, and independent living goals.
Our program opportunities are for those students with disabilities that have met all secondary academic requirements, completed four years of high school, and the IEP team has determined that there is a need for ongoing skill development in the areas of employment, education, and independent living. Program participation is customized through a process of deferring the students diploma. Levels of support and content of instruction are varied across the continuum to meet the needs of each student.

Words from Our Parents & Partners

“Our family is grateful for these programs and the tireless efforts of the staff. The program itself is comprehensive and provides “hands-on” learning through skills training and job internships in the community. The PREP/POWER Plus team strives on adjusting the program to add new elements that would be beneficial for the students. They are extremely resourceful and dedicated to ensure all students obtain exemplary transition services.” - Proud Parents of Michele Martin
“Each POWER Plus student cares deeply about their tasks and it shows! We appreciate their positive and professional demeanors and their dedication to completing their tasks.” - Katie Kiene; Program Manager James Patient Experience Team
“The staff at LIFE took the time to really get to know Allie AND our family and gave us support all the way through her transition. This is a very valuable program and I recommend this to any parent who is concerned about life after high school for their son or daughter." - Natalie Joy
“P.R.E.P. and POWER Plus have given my daughter an opportunity to transition into life beyond high school, including the prospect of higher education, interesting employment, social and community involvement and independence. She has been able to grow and mature further within a familiar, yet challenging and well-rounded, environment. We believe her experiences in the West Bridge programs will prove to be invaluable to her confidence as she moves through life.” - Karima Nagi (-Rogers)
