Welcome to First Grade in Room 107

November 16, 2018

Dear Families,

Happy Thanksgiving week! I am so thankful for all of the wonderful Deer Run families!  Deer Run will be participating in the Giving Tree Project. Look for more information in our school newsletter and following emails.  Thank you for sending in so many food items this week. The children enjoyed taking them down to the commons to drop them off.  They are anxious to hear the total number of items our school collected.

Please remember to mark your calendars for Friday December 7 at 9:30-10:30 to make gingerbread houses with your first grader! Please let me know if you cannot make it so I can arrange for someone to be with your child. We also ask that no younger siblings attend this event. We are looking forward to this fun event!

UNO anyone?
During our indoor recess times this week I've been playing UNO with anyone interested.  We have had a lot of fun and for many this was a new game.  If you are looking for a gift idea for your child during any holiday coming up, they might love a deck of uno cards to play with your family at home.

Book Club Order: A new book club order is coming home.  If you would like to order books but want to keep them a surprise for the holidays please let me know and I can set them aside when they arrive and leave them in the office for you to pick up with out your child knowing. Deadline to order: Friday Nov. 30.
