Welcome to First Grade in Room 107

May 4, 2019

Dear Families,

Our shopping day at the Book Fair is on Wednesday, May 8th.  There is not parent night this time, so our library time on Wednesday will be their opportunity to purchase books.

Our field trip to the Columbus Zoo is Friday May 10. Please send a packed lunch and drink in all disposable containers. Our chaperones will carry the lunches in backpacks and will not want to carry lunch boxes. :)  The zoo requests no glass or straws. Please remember to put sunscreen on your child before school. We are not allowed to apply it nor are the chaperones. Please do not send money with your child. We will not be buying treats or souvenirs.

Please mark your calendars for Monday May 20! You are invited to stop by our class for our animal report open house from 2:45-3:15. There are no formal presentations, but we would love for you to see our projects and ask us about them!

Super Games is Tuesday May 21 from 12:50-3:15. Kids can pack a lunch or buy that day. More info will come home as the day grows closer.

The last day of school is Friday May 24. This is a half day for the students, but we will eat lunch at school.

We will be doing many individual and small group end of year assessments the next couple of weeks. Reading books are no longer coming home, but please continue to read from your home collections or Mrs. Wooding's website. If you come across any of our classroom books at your house, please send them into school.
