A little bit about me:
I love my work and feel very fortunate to be the School Counselor at Indian Run. I was born and raised in the central Ohio area. My family loves being outside, finding new places to explore, listening to good music, and cheering for our Buckeyes! This is a speical community and I'm thankful to be a part of it!
I attended the Ohio State University where I recieved my BA in psychology in 2006. After working in the mental health field for two years, I attended University of Cincinnati where I graduated in 2010 with my Masters in School Counseling. I worked as a school counselor in southeast Ohio before coming to Indian Run Elementary in 2013.
As a school counselor, I am here to support the social, emotional, and academic health and wellbeing of all students at Indian Run Elementary. I visit every classroom to provide lessons that focus on physical and emotional health and safety, friendship and social skills, bullying, and other important topics. I provide small group interventions often focused on building coping skills, friendship/social skills, and dealing with the challenges of major life changes. I also provide one on one counseling for students to help them find social, emotional, and academic succes at school.
