Dear Davis Families,

As we close this school year, I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer break.  I hope that everyone is able to take some kind of break and find a way to enjoy the summer months.  I am happy to announce that the summer breakfast and lunch program will be offered as it was this spring.  Please see the information below.  Throughout the summer, continue to watch the district website on updates for next year.

If you missed the drop off day, bins will be located outside of the main entrance of Davis next week.  Please remember to place your child’s items in a bag with both their name and the teacher’s name on it.  If you are returning items of high value such as instruments or chromebooks, please email me directly to set up a time to drop off.  (perez_ann@dublinschools.net).

Students who are receiving an Incomplete in a course will be notified via US Mail.  Those letters will go out next week.  I encourage students to complete the work outlined in the plans they receive that accompanies the letter. For students who will need to complete work over the summer, Schoology will be open for them until August to hand it in.  If you have questions after you receive the mailing, please feel free to contact me if needed.  Our goal is to get all students to a Pass for the fourth quarter.

Thank you for a wonderful year and I can’t wait to see everyone in the fall.

    Dr. Ann Perez

Students will have continued access to their MATHia pathway until the week of July 20th.  Students are not required to work in MATHia past the last day of school, but are welcome to continue to use it for online practice. Please note that teachers will not be monitoring student work after the last day of school.

Davis PTO School Supply Sale (2020-2021)

The School Supply Kit sale for next school year is starting now.  These supply kits are a one-stop-shop for your kids’ supplies, very easy to order and helps you avoid long lines at a store. The kits are available for purchase (online only) from now through June 5th. Kits will NOT be available to be ordered after June 5th. The kits will only include items in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade supply list. Kits do not include electives (such as ELL, Reading Intervention, Foreign Language, Art, Band, Orchestra and Choir. etc).  Parents will need to purchase these elective items on their own.

This year the sale is online only. Order online at www.shopttkits.com, use code 9625.

**New this year, the 6th grade kit includes the calculator needed for all 3 years at Davis. (this is why kit for 6th grade is more expensive) There is a calculator that can be ordered separately for 7th and 8th graders who lost their calculators**

When you place your order, the school supplies (enclosed in a small cardboard box with your child’s name on it) will be delivered to the school, so there will be no need to carry a load of supplies to school since it will be conveniently delivered to the school.  The kits are typically available for pick-up on your student’s back to school walk-thru day in August. Usually, if the kit is not picked up on walk-thru day, it will be placed in your child’s homeroom class. Given the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we may need to modify our usual distribution process.

Thank you for your support and patience as we explore new ways to improve the PTO and volunteer services.

Please contact Leanne Evans (evansL6@att.net) with any questions.
