There is an error on the form. If your child is an 8th grader going into 9th grade please pick 2024 for the graduation class. Thank you.
REGISTRATION
When registering do not submit more than once. Your confirmation email will be coming from Formstack (It will be entitled DoNotReply). Please remember to check your spam or junk mail if you don’t see the confirmation. If for some reason there is an issue with your registration you will be contacted to resubmit. You will not lose your spot. Remember to double-check your credit card number and your CVV (3-digit security number) before hitting submit. Those are the main reasons submissions are rejected.
When completing the registration form, please take your time and read all sections carefully!!!!!!
SUMMER SCHOOL CLASSES
Click on the courses to the right for detailed information on class options for the first and second sessions of summer school. The first session will take place June 1st-June 25th and the second session will take place June 28th - July 23rd. All class options will be online and self-guided. The classes will not require real-time interactions; instead, content is available online for students to access. Attendance will be monitored through student logins and daily assignments. Adequate weekly progress will be expected.
Students will receive access to summer school courses via an Access Code sent to student email accounts. All course lessons and materials will be available in Schoology.
Note: Physical Education has two classes for .25 credits each (Fitness Trends - 931 and Wellness & Individualized Fitness - 935). Students are required to take two PE classes for graduation requirements. You can take both of them this summer (one in each session) or split them up over two summers. Physical Education is open to students going into 9th, 10th, 11, & 12th Grades for the 2021-22 school year. Please remember if your child participates in sports or band they should contact their guidance counselor for a waiver from Physical Education.
Note: Health - only ONE session of Health is required to earn credit.
CREDIT RECOVERY CLASSES
For Credit Recovery, all class options are listed on the registration form. Credit Recovery will only be held the first session from June 1st-July 25th. Credit Recovery classes are only for students who failed a class during the 2020-21 school year.
All classes will be face-to-face instruction – the classes will take place at Emerald Campus, 5175 Emerald Pkwy., Dublin, 43017. Classes will take place between 8:30 am – 12:00 pm. The room number will be posted in the Emerald Campus lobby.

Financial Literacy/Personal Finance
Financial Literacy/Personal Finance is open to students who will be entering 11th or 12th grade for the 2021-22 school year.
This course introduces students to real-world concepts related to personal finance and money management. More specifically, it examines financial matters such as saving, investing, student loans, debt repayment, credit cards, risk management, and budgeting. Students engage in hands-on scenarios in which they will learn to prepare for, overcome, and avoid financial crises. Based on the skills and knowledge applied in this course, students will develop financial goals, and create realistic and measurable objectives to be financially literate and money smart.

Health

Health Education stresses the individual's physical, mental, emotional, and social development. The intent of the Health course is to help young people make independent, informed decisions concerning their well-being. Course topics include First Aid and CPR; diseases and disorders; mental health; stress; nutrition; the structure of specific body systems; human sexuality; and substance abuse. *This course may be taught in a blended format to include a combination of intentional learning activities and student-created projects.

Art Foundations
Art Foundations is an introduction to various art processes such as drawing, painting, and three-dimensional art. An emphasis is placed on composition, which involves the use of formal art elements and principles. This course includes studio projects, history, criticism, and aesthetics. Students will be encouraged to create personally expressive art works. Students will supply some materials.

ACT/SAT Preparation and Literacy Skills
Students will explore a broad set of literacy skills and strategies that are essential to critical thinking, academic success, and college/career readiness. Students will learn the difference between the ACT/SAT and their various applications. Students will learn to deconstruct test questions and increase their ability to decode challenging vocabulary in context. In addition, students will sharpen timed writing skills and develop an individual study plan to address identified areas of improvement. Through these exercises, students will gain a set of tools that will be useful, both for test success and overall literacy development.

Fitness Trends
Students in this course will participate in a variety of aerobic activities, evaluate personal fitness levels, develop and track personal fitness goals, and demonstrate knowledge of nutrition and responsible eating plans. Activities may include, but are not limited to: low and high-impact aerobics, circuit training, Pilates, core/stability work, jump rope and jogging. Students will develop an understanding of the components of physical fitness and the benefits of an active lifestyle. Students will be able to track progress through the use of technology. Wellness & Individualized Fitness
This course is designed for the individual who has interests and goals that may be more individualized than those available in other courses. Students will pursue personal goals in targeted exercise and general conditioning programs tailored to student need. They will develop an exercise program to meet their individual goals and track their progress towards those goals over time. Additional topics and class activities may include but are not limited to: Pilates, agility training, plyometrics, flexibility development, cardiovascular exercise, and other health-related topics. This class will also emphasize the benefits of exercise in relation to relieving stress and anxiety in the school day.

Credit Recovery
Students are eligible to enroll in Credit Recovery course(s) only if they have received a failing grade for the course in high school. This program is not for grade replacement. Credit recovery students must have been at 9th-12th grade status during the 2020-21 school year. All classes will be face-to-face instruction at Emerald Campus.

Summer Intervention and Graduation Testing
Note: This class is not on the registration form - please read below for directions to participate.
Summer intervention and graduation testing are open to current high school students who need to retest in one or more of the Ohio State End of Course graduation assessments. High school counselors and administrators will share additional information with students who need to participate in this intervention and testing opportunity. Students will have access to a digital remediation resource and to a teacher during the structured intervention hours. This intervention will not be credit-bearing. All testing will be held during the state-assigned testing window of July 12 - July 23, 2021. The sign-up form for this opportunity will be shared directly with those students who need to participate.
