Hello, Jerome! We are here for you and in this together!

How do students and families access a School Counselor during the extended school closure?

  • General questions or concerns can be answered by our guidance secretaries.  They will be available during traditional school hours to triage concerns via email.
  • For questions stemmed around the academic, career, and social emotional development of a student please email the assigned alpha counselor.
  • If the issue can not be resolved via email, a counselor will schedule a face to face meeting with the student using Google Meet.  Please note that the student must use their assigned school gmail account for this feature.  The student will receive a Google invite with an agreed upon date and time.
    • In alignment with district policy a parent/guardian must be present at the time of the Google Meet.

Academic Resources

Are you having an issue with an academic course?

An essential first step is to communicate with the teacher directly via email. Most concerns when directly addressed with the teacher can be resolved.  It is important to practice, and develop strong self-advocacy skills and self-determination which have been shown to improve educational and life outcomes.  This is a great opportunity to practice those skills!
