DCS Scheduling for Success Night
Mark your calendars for Scheduling for Success on Tuesday, January 14th, from 6:30 PM to 8:15 PM. Hosted by our district's Academic and Student Learning Team, this event will equip all Dublin City Schools high school students and their families with the tools and knowledge needed to confidently plan their academic future.
The evening will begin at 6:30 PM in the Dublin Coffman PAC with an overview of the scheduling process and key information relevant to all families, no matter where they are in the process. Following the presentation, breakout sessions will provide opportunities for families to explore specific topics and receive tailored guidance. Topics include:
- Graduation Requirements: Understand what is needed to graduate and how your student will earn their graduation seals.
- Pathway Planning: Learn how to use the Four-Year Planner to create a personalized academic journey. Explore how Dublin City Schools utilizes YouScience and SchooLinks to help students connect their interests, aptitudes, and opportunities.
- College Credit Courses: Discover the many ways students can earn college credit while in high school, including AP, IB, CCP, and CTAG courses.
- Graduation/Scheduling Info for Families of Students Receiving Special Education Services: Learn about graduation requirements, pathways and resources that are designed to support students who are receiving intervention services through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.
Please note: This event will provide a general overview about how currently-offered courses can align with future college and career plans. Specific information about meeting graduation requirements and using Infinite Campus to create a course plan will be shared with students by guidance counselors and principals at the building.
