5th Grade Strings
Enrollment Now Open for 2026-27 School Year
Dublin City Schools is pleased to offer an optional Beginning Strings program for rising 5th grade students. This unique experience is conducted at our district middle schools, giving students an early start on their musical journey.
Important Dates
Throughout the last two weeks of April, current 4th grade students will attend a live strings demonstration during the school day to learn more about the instruments and the program.
Interested current 4th grade families (from any elementary school) are encouraged to attend a Strings Night to get started:
May 5: 5th Grade Strings Night at Karrer Middle School from 4:30 - 7:30 pm. Sign Up Here.
May 6: 5th Grade Strings Night at Sells Middle School from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. Sign Up Here.
Registration Details
Please be aware that program capacity may be limited based on available staffing and resources. To ensure your child is considered for the program, please complete the application form by May 27th to meet the priority deadline. Students may apply after the deadline, but their first instrument choice cannot be guaranteed. In the event classroom capacity is reached, new applications may no longer be accepted.
