Deputy Superintendent
The Deputy Superintendent oversees the Department of Academics and Student Learning, which includes various divisions with the district.
Teaching and Learning, Student Services, Human Resources, Communications, Enrollment, and Student Information and Technology Integration all report to the Office of the Deputy Superintendent. Acting as the Superintendent's right hand, the Deputy Superintendent assists in providing leadership that yields the best possible learning experience for all Dublin students.
Samantha Althouse
Samantha Althouse is a dedicated, systems-oriented educational leader with over two decades of experience serving students, staff, and families across classroom teaching, school administration, and district leadership. She began her educational career in 2004 as a middle school mathematics teacher at Davis Middle School, where she also served as mathematics department chair, a curriculum alignment committee member, and a mentor to new teachers. She later expanded her administrative experience as an intern at Chapman Elementary School before serving in Hilliard City Schools as an assistant principal, principal, and Director of Secondary Education. Althouse returned to Dublin City Schools in 2022 and served as the Director of Elementary Principal Leadership and then the Executive Director of Principal Leadership before stepping into her current role as Deputy Superintendent.
Althouse is passionate about driving systemic initiatives, developing leadership capacity, and cultivating high-performing instructional cultures. A central focus of her work includes executive coaching for building administrators, district-wide strategic planning, secondary and elementary curriculum alignment, and fiscal management. Specialized in building collaborative pipelines for administrative talent, she works continuously to support instructional excellence and student growth across all grade levels.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education from The Ohio State University. She completed her Master of Educational Leadership and earned her Superintendent Licensure through Miami University
Outside of her professional life, her family is deeply rooted in the Dublin educational community. Her husband, Keith, is a science teacher at Eversole Run Middle School and a football coach at Dublin Jerome High School. Their two children currently attend Jerome. Althouse considers it a privilege to serve in Dublin City Schools and remains dedicated to supporting the district's students, staff, and families.
