Academic Foundation

Dublin City Schools is built on a strong academic foundation, fostering an environment where high performance and achievement are a hallmark of our student body. We are proud to nurture a culture of excellence that consistently exceeds state and national benchmarks. Thirty-two percent of our students are identified as gifted, and our students’ average assessment scores surpass both state and national averages.

Dublin City Schools students also actively engage in rigorous college-level coursework. Currently, 2,246 students are enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, 936 students participate in College Credit Plus (CCP), and 573 students are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Impressively, 38.2% of our high school students have earned at least one CCP credit or scored a 3 or higher on AP exams, with 82.9% of AP students achieving scores of 3 or higher. These opportunities allow our students to challenge themselves academically and prepare for success in higher education.

Student Experience

At Dublin City Schools, the student experience is enriched by a diverse community, with students representing over 70 countries and speaking more than 100 languages. This rich cultural tapestry celebrates a wide range of perspectives. Students have access to an abundance of athletic teams, arts programs, and over 100 clubs and activities, offering something for every interest. Whether in sports, music, theater, or leadership organizations, students are encouraged to explore their passions and develop new skills. Our dedicated teachers, 75% of whom hold a master’s degree and have an average of 14 years of experience, provide high-quality instruction and mentorship, creating an environment where every student can thrive.

Additionally, Dublin City Schools is committed to student safety and wellness, with a robust support system in place. We have 46 school counselors, 23 psychologists, 17 social workers, 7 contracted mental health professionals, and a team of 8 school nurses and 22 clinic nurse aides dedicated to student care. Our district employs a safety and security coordinator, overnight security, and school resource officers in every middle and high school, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
