Last Thursday, the seventh grade girls and the eighth grade boys had amazing finishes to their games.
The seventh grade girls team won in a nail biter 26 - 24 at home against UA Hastings. All of the girls played hard, coming from behind after trailing for the entire game. Addison McGrath scored the winning points with an assist from Grace Thomas and an awesome inbound pass from Rachael Kiley.
For the eighth grade boys, Kevin Kirkby nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to defeat UA Hastings by a score of 32 - 29. The play was set up by Ben Groce's excellent defense and skilled ball-handling. Kirkby led the offense with 10 points and Brody Ausmus & Drew Monahan contributed 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to key the victory.
The boys team returns to action this week with two games including a home game on Thursday against Olentangy Liberty.
