    DCS Summer College Application Bootcamp - Two Dates & Four Sessions To Choose From!

    Students planning to graduate with the class of 2025 are invited to register for a two-hour college application bootcamp taking place this summer. The sessions will be led by DCS Counselors Nicole Swisher and Kevin Patton as well as an admissions counselor from The Ohio State University!


    Topics Covered:

    • College Application Jump-Start
    • Essay Workshop
    • Advice from College Admissions Reps
    • Tips & Tools to manage the entire process!

    Here is the registration link - students must be logged into their school email account in order to access the form.

    When: Tues. June 18th, 10am-12pm OR 1pm-3pm and Thurs. August 8th, 10am-12pm OR 1pm-3pm - four sessions to choose from, only need to register for one!

    Distinguished Young Women of Ohio - Scholarship Opportunities, Life Skills Workshops, & Positive Peer Network

    Distinguished Young Women is the oldest and largest national scholarship program for high school girls. The organization's mission is to empower young women to reach their full potential by providing scholarship opportunities for college as well as personal development to become confident leaders. 

    • Open to students entering grade 12 (class of 2025)
    • Encourage continued education and provide scholarship opportunities for higher education.
    • Create opportunities to inspire and impact the lives of others
    • Showcase excellence in academic achievement, physical fitness, on-stage performance skills, and the ability to think and communicate clearly
    • Develop self-confidence by offering training in: interview skills, public speaking, stage performance, and professional networking
    • There is no cost and the deadline to apply is August 18, 2024

    OHIO Physical Therapy High School Open House @ Ohio University

    The Division of Physical Therapy cordially invites high school students to attend one of two 2024 Summer High School Open Houses. This opportunity is for prospective students who are interested in learning more about the career of Physical Therapy and Ohio University.

    The first Open House will take place on Friday, June 14th from 3:30pm-5:00pm EST and the second on Friday, July 26th from 3:30pm-5:00pm EST. This event will provide information about the career of physical therapy, application process, and Physical Therapy at OHIO.

    Inspirit AI - Camp Fee Scholarship Opportunity for Dublin Middle & High School Students - Scholarship Deadline is April 15, 2024

    Dublin City Schools is hosting an in-person, pre-college, project-based artificial intelligence program at our Emerald Campus building. Inspirit AI is an education program developed and taught by Stanford and MIT graduates.


    Check out the program brochure for more information about curriculum, schedule, projects, teaching team, and more! The program is open to all interested students.  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please complete this application by April 15, 2024.  Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 19th. Students who did not receive the scholarship or missed the scholarship deadline can still apply for the camp by filling out this application


    When: Class will meet on weekdays from Monday June 17 - Friday June 28, (no class June 19). High School Session: 8:30 - 11:30am / Middle School Session: 12:30 - 3:30pm

    Financial Aid/FAFSA Updates - DCS Parent Meeting (students welcome) 


    Representatives from The Ohio State University's Financial Aid Office guided parents and students through a presentation designed to help families with how to navigate the college financial aid process, including updates on the recent changes to the 2024-2025 FAFSA



    Getting Started in the College Selection Process - DCS Parent Meeting (students welcome)

    Admissions representatives from The Ohio State University and Denison University will guide families through a presentation that goes over what to focus on in the college selection process and will share valuable advice from the perspective of a large public university and a small private liberal arts university.


    When: Wednesday Nov. 15, 2023 from 7:00-8:30 (1 hr presentation followed by time for questions with OSU & Denison reps)

    Where: Dublin Coffman High School - Performing Arts Center

    Target Audience: Primarily Parents of 9th-11th Graders, but all DCS Parents welcome!

    College Seminar for Students with an IEP or 504

    This is a great opportunity for families to learn how to navigate the college planning process when it will involve 504 and/or IEP plans. This will be a panel discussion with various college representatives from campus offices of disability/accessibility services.

    "The Future of Work" symposium with Dr. David Harrison, president of Columbus State Community College

    Dr. Harrison will share details about high-demand jobs and careers in Ohio that are currently available or coming in the near future. Additionally, he will provide information about specific Columbus State partnerships with corporations in central Ohio that have fostered both internship and scholarship opportunities for our students.
