My child currently attends a school in the district, but I would like my child to attend another school outside my attendance area through an intra-district transfer.
Our Board policy does not allow intra-district transfers unless there is room (capacity) at another school. Capacity is determined for each school based on factors including current student enrollment, school building size, and provision of allowable space for move-in students within the attendance area. Intra-district transfer requests must be made beginning April 1 and turned in by the first business day in May for the following school year. Requests for buildings that have capacity will be considered, with acceptance or denial delivered in writing on or before June 15. Requests for intra-district transfer for schools without capacity will be denied.

I am the biological father of a child and want to enroll him/her in school but the biological mother and I were never married. What do I need to do?

A father must initiate a custody action in the courts to obtain custody to be named school placement parent for purposes of enrollment. Please contact the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, 373 S.
