Dublin City Schools Closed Through the End of the School Year

  • Dear Parents,

As you may be aware, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced all K-12 school buildings will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This announcement also means that there will likely not be a spring sports season in Ohio per information released by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. We continue to be compassionate toward our seniors who have lost sports and so much more due to this pandemic.

Dublin City Schools will continue to work diligently to ensure online learning continues. While we are disappointed that our students and teachers will not be returning to school this year, we were prepared for this possibility. Our staff has done a tremendous job of rapidly transitioning to delivering instruction online.

Over the next few weeks, we will be communicating our long-term plans to make sure that our academic expectations are aligned with the Ohio Department of Education’s guidance. You can visit our online learning page at this link for the latest information.

The District will continue to distribute breakfasts and lunches to students who need them Monday through Friday. The meal distribution schedule is posted at this link. Chromebook repair is available at Emerald Campus from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. A new student tech help email address is now in operation. Students can submit any technology issues to this email address.

These continue to be unprecedented and challenging times. Please continue to take care of one another, practice proper social distancing, and be mindful of your mental health, and that of your family members. We will get through this together.

Dublin City Schools Closed March 16-May 1 (Online Learning Begins March 18)

  • Dear Parents,

In keeping with Gov. Mike DeWine’s order earlier today, Dublin City Schools will be closed for students beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, May 1. All athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled through Friday, May 1 as well.

As you have probably heard, Gov. DeWine ordered the closure of all Ohio K-12 schools for three weeks in an effort to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

During that time, our buildings will be completely shut down to students and only essential personnel will remain on site. There will be no activities in our schools and no off-site school activities of any kind.

Online learning will continue during this period of time and detailed information regarding this will be distributed as soon as possible.

This is a rapidly changing situation, so please check our website at frequently for updates. We will communicate on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and via email during the course of this closure, as well.

We ask for your patience as we roll out the online learning model, but if you have specific questions moving forward, please email us at so we can work together to get you the information you need.

These are unprecedented and challenging times, but we will get through this as a community.

Links to resources are posted below.

    Thank you,

    Todd F. Hoadley, Ph.D.
