  • At Emerald Campus, students may choose to participate in:

    • Early College Experience

    Available in the 2-period blocked Early College Experience are four CCP courses and one seminar-

    • Composition I (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit
    • Composition II (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit
    • Introduction to Psychology (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit
    • Introduction to Sociology (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit
    • College and Career Readiness Seminar: 0.25 high school credit per semester

    Prerequisites: Eng II, Eng III, H Eng II, H Eng III, or AP Amer Studies recommended w/eligibility score (ACT: 18+; SAT: 480+; Accuplacer Writing 5+ w/any reading score)

    Students can choose to participate for one or two semesters, but must select from the following options to ensure they can make the most of the programming and the high school experience.

    • Option 1 (1 semester): Seminar, Composition I, and Introduction to Psychology or Sociology
    • Option 2 (1 semester): Seminar, Composition II, and Introduction to Psychology or Sociology
    • Option 3 (All year): Both options 1 and 2 above

    A sample student schedule for a semester  of the Early College Experience:

    *Students wanting to take standalone Composition I, Composition II, Psychology, or Sociology classes will need to take courses online or choose an option outside of the Dublin Emerald Campus. 

    Add-on or courses options also available (*Pending yearly DCS school board approval of course handbook)

    • Arabic I and Arabic II (All year): 6 CSCC credits = 2 high school credits

    Prerequisites: Eligibility score (ACT: 18+; SAT: 480+; Accuplacer Writing 5+ w/any reading score) 

    • American Sign Language (All year): ASL 1100, ASL 1101, ASL 1102, ASL 1801 - All course are required for participation

    Prerequisites: Eligibility score (ACT: 18+; SAT: 480+; Accuplacer Writing 5+ w/any reading score) 

    • College Algebra (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit 

    Prerequisites: Alg II or Honors Alg II recommended w/college prerequisite scores (ACT Math Subscore:24+/SAT math subscore: 570+/ALEKS: 54+)

    • College Trigonometry (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit

    Prerequisites: Honors Alg II or Precalculus recommended w/college prerequisite score (ACT:26+/SAT: 610+/ALEKS: 61+), or College Alg with a min. grade of “C” 

    • Calculus I (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit

    Prerequisites: Honors Precalculus or Calculus recommended w/college prerequisite score (ACT:28+/SAT: 650+/ALEKS: 76+), or MATH 1149 with a min. grade of “C”

    • Calculus II (1 semester): 3 CSCC credits = 1 high school credit

    Prerequisites: MATH 1151 with a minimum grade of “C” or math eligibility score of 3 or higher on the AP Calculus AB exam
