• Mr. Weininger began his service on the Dublin City Schools Board of Education in January 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1983 and his master’s degree in Educational Administration in 1988.

    Mr. Weininger has been in the education field for 37 years and was an administrator in Dublin for 18 years. After retiring in 2013 as the principal of Dublin Karrer Middle School, the highest achieving middle school in Ohio, he directed the Ohio Beginning Principal Mentorship Program for 2 years. He has also worked as an interim principal in multiple districts including Westerville, New Albany, Southwestern City Schools and the Ventures Academy. Prior positions included Dublin Albert Chapman Elementary principal, Dublin Sells Middle School assistant principal, Canal Winchester Middle School principal and Canal Winchester High School assistant principal. Mr. Weininger taught Science in the Hilliard City School District prior to his administrative career.

    Rick and his wife, Gabriel, who is a professional nanny and elementary school library aide, have lived in Dublin since 1996. Their son, Joseph, is a Dublin Coffman/Ohio University graduate who works in the field of technology. Mr. Weininger was reelected in November 2017 to serve a second term.
