JTI is hosting a book drive this week for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Please bring in new or gently used children’s books to your team leader. The top three teams with the most books will earn March Madness points.

Today is the last day of the book fair! Winners for all of the raffle prizes (Amazon gift cards, Dells Ice Cream, and Skittles guessing game) will be announced tomorrow morning.

Books for our upcoming author visit in January are on sale NOW. See your Language Arts teacher if you would like to purchase an autographed copy of Nancy Roe Pimm’s books. Autographed books will not be available for purchase during the visit.

The 8th grade boys basketball team played a great game last night, defeating a good Hilliard Memorial team by 2 points in overtime.  Come see them play next at home on Thursday. Way to go Celts!

The 7th grade boys once again played together great as a team and played lights out defense in the second half defeating the unbeaten Memorial Jaguars. The Celts had balance scoring and look to continue their winning ways this Thursday at home against Jones.  Way to go Celts!

The 7th grade girls team lost to Hilliard Memorial 33-22. Next game is Thursday at UA Jones.

The eighth grade girls basketball team beat a tough Memorial team last night 21-18. The Celts executed perfectly in the fourth quarter to finish out with the victory.  Good luck at Jones on Thursday.
