All three Dublin City Schools high school bands marching in Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade
On Thursday, Nov. 22, marching bands from all three high schools (Coffman, Jerome, and Scioto) will be marching in the Thanksgiving Parade in Philadelphia, PA.

A recently completed “build-out study” of Dublin City Schools has concluded a fourth high school will not be needed.

Since the opening of Emerald Campus in August, nearly 1,000 Dublin City Schools students have been involved in the Career Exploration Academies housed in the new building.

39 students named National Merit Commended Scholars
Thirty-nine high school students from Dublin City Schools have been named Commended Scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The announcement comes soon after the District learned it has the most National Merit Scholar Semifinalists (32), of any district in Ohio for the third straight year.

Middle School Leadership retreat
Drug free “Youth Leadership Fall Retreat” offered to 7th and 8th grade students
As a result of the District’s Cardinal Health Foundation Grant for substance use prevention, select 7th and 8th grade students will be joining Union County students for a drug free “Youth Leadership Fall Retreat” on Friday Nov. 2 and Saturday Nov. 3.

Student overcrowding moves 75 Indian Run 5th graders to Sells Middle School
As a result of continually increasing student enrollment, many of our buildings are at full capacity or overcrowded. Student overcrowding is driving the need for additional schools and one of the main reasons Dublin City Schools will be on the ballot on Nov. 6.
