Kindergarten Registration Opens Tuesday, January 20
Kindergarten registration for Dublin City Schools will open Tuesday, January 20, 2026, for families planning to enroll a child in kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year.
Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, a new state law, House Bill 114, standardizes kindergarten age-eligibility requirements for all public school districts across Ohio. Under this law, students must be five years old on or before the first official day of school in the enrolling district in order to be eligible for kindergarten. For Dublin City Schools, the first day of school for the 2026–2027 school year is August 20, 2026.

In the event of a delay or closure, families will be notified by voice call, email, and text message (if opted-in) using our broadcast communication system, School Messenger. To opt-in to text messages from School Messenger, send “Y” or “Yes” to 67587.
Program Pathways for Success: Changes Approved for the 2026-2027 School Year
The Dublin City Schools Board of Education has officially approved updates to our middle school and high school academic programs for the 2026-2027 school year. These changes, approved in December after a review process, aim to streamline offerings, enhance post-secondary alignment, and ensure all students have access to the resources needed for success.
