The Spring athletic season has come to a close and it was a tremendous success!  Over (300) Sells students represented their school on the Baseball/Softball diamond, Tennis court, Lacrosse field, and the Track this Spring, and we are proud of each of them. Almost 60% of the eligible 7th and 8th Grade student population participated in Spring Sports. Almost 70% of all students participated in at least (1) sport this school year! It is great to see a majority of our students benefit from the life lessons that can be learned through sport in our athletic program.

Our Spring athletic season is highlighted by the play of our Softball and Baseball programs! Our 7th Grade Softball team finished with a 9-2 record, and defeated all Dublin Schools in the process. Our 8th Grade Softball team completed a 9-3 record, earning a Dublin Classic Championship by defeating each Dublin School! Great season, ladies! Our 8th Grade Baseball team defeated Karrer MS to earn the 2017 Dublin Classic championship, while completing a 10-2 season. The 7th Grade Baseball team won their final 4 games to end the season with a 7-5 record. Great season to all teams who represented us on the diamond!

The Boys Tennis team improved each day on the court, while earning a 7-3 record in matches. Great season, boys!

Our Boys Lacrosse program continued its winning ways in 2017. The 8th Grade team finished the season with an 8-6-1 record. The boys earned the distinction of competing in the Ohio State Division II tournament. The 7th Grade team earned 5 wins on the season. The future of our Boys Lacrosse program continues to shine bright!

Our Girls Lacrosse team was highly competitive this Spring, winning 6 of their games! We are proud of the way you represented us on the field, ladies!

Lastly, our Track and Field program had a very successful season. They worked hard every day to improve. Many of our athletes finished the seasons with personal best times and distances. Congratulations to all of our Track and Field athletes for a great season!

The mission of Sells Middle School athletics is to provide a safe, fair, and inclusive athletic environment. The athletic experience is designed to bolster the educational experience at Sells Middle School offering fundamental skill instruction, life skill instruction, character education, and interscholastic competition.

We are looking forward to an equally successful Fall sports season with increased student participation, and continuation of academic and athletic excellence from our student-athletes.
