The district’s parent portal, electronic form submission system, and online facilities rental platform are now available for public use.
“These initiatives are part of the district’s efforts to conserve paper and provide excellent customer service,” said Superintendent Dr. David Axner. “It is our goal to make our web site the center of our communications efforts.”
The district’s new Parent Portal is a one-stop online center for the items parents use most often on a daily basis. Click on the “parent portal” button on the district’s home page, login with your ProgressBook credentials, and the user will be able to manage and access several online features from one screen. These include the online meal payment system, Formshare, email news subscriptions, bus routes, phone notification system management, and your school building’s news and calendar.
Formshare, is the district’s new online form submission system. Parents will login to Dublin City Schools’ FormShare site via the parent portal, using their existing Progress Book username and password, and then be able to complete required forms online. We are beginning with the emergency medical form and over the course of the next year, more forms will be made available online, and fewer forms will need to be completed by hand. During this time of transition, parents may need to complete both a paper form and an electronic form, but this overlap should be resolved during the 2011/2012 school year. PDFs of ALL forms will remain available on the district’s web site.
The third component of the new offerings is an online Facilities Rental module. Members of community groups now have the opportunity to rent district facilities online. Just click on the “Facilities Rental” button on the district’s home page and follow the instructions.
