District receives Auditor of State Award of Distinction for clean and accurate financial reporting and record keeping

The Dublin City School District’s finance department has again earned the Auditor of State Award with Distinction for clean and accurate financial reporting and record keeping.

Only a small percentage of governmental agencies in Ohio received the award this year. The award is given to entities who file a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, file timely financial reports, and receive a “clean” audit report from the State Auditor. A clean audit means an agency’s financial audit did not contain findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, single audit findings, or any questioned costs.

“Clean and accurate record-keeping are the foundation for good government,” said Auditor of State Dave Yost. “The taxpayers can take pride in your commitment to accountability.”

Treasurer Brian Kern complimented his staff for earning the award.

“We work very hard to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars and to provide accurate financial reports,” Kern said. “We are proud to have earned this award.”
