On Saturday April 8, from 9 a.m.-noon in the Jerome cafeteria, Dublin City Schools and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce will again be collaborating to present: Dublin Works! A Summer Job Fair for Dublin City Schools Students. Several hundred students attend the event each year.
Businesses wishing to participate in the event may RSVP at this link: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?505686-DGgjhiUQaK or by contacting Carol Jacobsen at 614-760-4379.
“This event provides our students with a real world experience and the chance to obtain seasonal employment in our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “The summer job fair is a great example of the District’s partnership with the Chamber and with our business community.”
Many participating companies conduct interviews on the spot at the event, while others will take applications and contact students at a later date. A complete list of participating companies will be posted on the District’s website as the event draws near. Student work permit paperwork for those under 18 will be available at the job fair or in the high school guidance offices.
The event is free and open to all students of working age. About 30 companies usually participate in the summer job fair.
