Board approves three year contract agreement with both unions
The contract has been ratified by both associations.
“I’d like to thank the leadership of both of our employee associations for the dedication and cooperation in reaching this agreement,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “The culture of collaboration we have worked hard to foster was evident during these negotiations. Our collective focus remains on providing our students with world-class instruction, well rounded experiences, and continuously improving in everything we do.”
Negotiations began in February and were completed earlier this month. Both employee associations ratified the contracts prior to the agreement being approved by the Board of Education.
“The agreement reached with our associations is in line with our five-year financial forecast," said Treasurer Brian Kern. "Insurance changes were a big part of the last contract and those savings have helped us hold down insurance costs."
The agreements call for 2% 2.1% and 2.15% salary increase during the life of the contract which will run from 8/1/17 – 7/31/20.
