District earns highest possible credit rating from Standard and Poors
The District’s credit ratings are important to our taxpayers because they reduce the amount of interest the district must pay when it sells bonds to fund projects.
“Community support is always a factor when obtaining and maintaining high credit ratings,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Hoadley. “I would like to thank our Treasurer/CFO Brian Kern for his diligence and professionalism, as solid financial forecasting and meticulous book keeping are also integral parts of this credit rating that ultimately benefits for our taxpayers.”
Only a handful of districts in Ohio receive the highest possible rating.
According to the S&P Global Ratings report, the District’s AAA rating was affirmed in part due to “maintenance of very strong, generally accepted account principles, strong cash balances and moderate debt burden.”
