Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 16th. Our school day start time begins promptly at 9:10 a.m. and ends at 3:40 p.m. Students are allowed to go to their classrooms at 9:00 a.m. and classes will begin at 9:10 a.m. For everyone's safety, students should arrive at school between 9:00 and 9:05 a.m. The morning kindergarten class time is 9:10-11:50 a.m. and the afternoon kindergarten class time is 1:00-3:40 p.m. Bus route information will be posted on the district website next week. New Parent Portal
During the week of July 10th, you should have received a letter in the mail with instructions on how to fill out your back to school forms and update your information using our new online portal. Forms must be completed online prior to the first day of school. PLEASE NOTE: This applies to returning students, not new students or kindergarten students.
If you have not already done so, please fill out the required forms and update your information by visiting this link: http://www.dublinschools.net/backtoschool.aspx
For those parents that pre-ordered school supplies in the spring, the Pinney PTO will complete the process by delivering the supplies to your child’s classroom! 2018-2019 school supply order information will be available in the spring of 2018. For those of you that still need to get supplies, the 2017-2018 school supply list (Kindergarten-5th grade) can be found on our website. (Pinney Website)
Kindergarten meet-the-teacher will be held on Tuesday, August 15th. The morning class families will meet from 11:00-12:00 p.m. and the afternoon families will meet from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Parents will be able to review the typical day in kindergarten, information about the kindergarten curriculum, and most importantly, you can meet your teacher! Our kindergarten teachers look forward to seeing all of the students and parents.

Attention students and families who are NEW to Pinney in 1st grade through 5th grade:
New Family Luncheon will be held on August 9th from 11:30-1:00 p.m. We will take a tour of Pinney ES and answer any questions the children may have about their new school. We look forward to meeting all of our new students and their families that morning.
Elementary School Handbook
As we begin a new school year, I ask that you take the time to read the district’s Elementary School Handbook. The handbook can be found on the district website under the “Academics” link. This valuable resource contains information about district policies and procedures on topics including attendance, discipline, dress code, homework, ProgressBook, and much more. It also contains an explanation of the district’s Network and Internet Access Agreement policy, notification in regards to student records, and bus safety guidelines. The Preschool Handbook is also located on the website. (Handbook Link)
Please note that the price of a student lunch this year will be $2.55 including milk; milk only may be purchased for 50¢. For those of you who may need assistance through the district’s free and reduced lunch program, the information can be located on the district website as well as in the school office. You can also find more information about lunch pre-payment options at this link (EZ Pay)
