Daniel Wright Elementary is excited to share that we have been awarded a Safe Routes to School grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation! The grant will help us to put in paved pathways for students to bike or walk to school. We need your family's help with figuring out where to construct the pathways! You can help us by filling out the Parent Survey About Walking and Biking to School sent home with your child today. Please fill out the survey and then send the form back to your child's classroom teacher by Friday, October 9. We only need 1 survey back per family. If you have multiple children at DWE, you only need to send in 1 survey. We appreciate your help with the surveys! They will be a great tool to help us determine where to put in paved pathways that will best serve our DWE school community! If you have questions about the survey, please contact our Media Specialist, Marisa Saelzler, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

By Kimberly Pietsch MillerChief Academic OfficerDuring the first few weeks of the new school year, you may see members of our staff wearing “We grow thinkers” wristbands. This is not a new catch phrase, but a historic mantra we are reinventing this school year as we sharpen our instructional focus on creativity, critical thinking, personalized learning, and enrichment for all students.
