Celebration of the Arts (Feb. 11)
You are invited to our annual Celebration of the Arts event Thursday, February 11th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Pinney Commons. This year the event will be a TASK party. TASK is an event where participants perform tasks using available tools and materials. The purpose of a TASK party is to practice divergent thinking by interpreting each unique task in your own way. The open-ended event develops creativity, promotes risk-taking, comfort with ambiguity, and many other essential thinking habits. Brooklyn based artist Oliver Herring, founder of the event, wanted to create an improvisational event where participants could meet new people and develop a sense of community through art and creativity. The event is designed to be energetic, active, exciting, and fun. Bring your sense of wonder, imagination and willingness to try something new! You will not want to miss this great event! Check out the flier with more details.
