Students are encouraged to keep practicing their math facts, both with multiplication and division.  Weekly review of math facts helps students solidify and keep fact knowledge strong, and this fact knowledge builds upon other skills learned throughout the school year and beyond. Topic 1: Numeration

8/20/14  The 5th grade will begin math classes on Monday, 8/25/14.  We will begin with Topic 1, which deals with aspects of Numeration.  Specifically, your child will review and learn about aspects of place value, with an emphasis on understanding standard, expanded, and word form.
